The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on January 9th for the renovation of Good Samaritan’s resale store.
The Resale Store was founded on the principal that everyone deserves dignity, and that meant offering quality, gently-used items for low prices. It has recently been renovated to make customers feel comfortable while shopping and easily find what they are looking for. In addition to selling items, people in need can be eligible to receive a voucher for clothing items they need, but can’t afford. They give blankets to those who need them, and any item that can’t be sold are donated to one of two charities who give the items new homes in a variety of places. Every item donated is used or made into something new and reused.
The Resale Store is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 PM to 5 PM, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM and every third Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.
