christianwomenjobcorpsThe Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Tuesday for the Heart of Texas Christian Women’s Job Corps to celebrate their new location.

The organization recently relocated from the Family Services Center to 2410 Coggin Avenue thanks to a generous gift from Brownwood resident Mette Lundsgaard.

Lundsgaard recently purchased and donated the building to the Christian Women’s Job Corps.

“We love Mette, we have loved Mette for a long time,” said director Patricia Boland. “Mette has returned that love and she is the lady who felt it in her heart to donate this facility to us and spent her time and resources to redo it to meet the needs that we have here, and already we have been blessed through that.”

The Heart of Texas Christian Women’s Job Corps exists to minister to women by providing a vast array of life and job skills training including Bible study, computer skills, nutrition, mentoring, and many more.
