The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Heart of Texas NRA on Friday, July 27th.

The Heart of Texas Friends of NRA is the local non-profit grassroots volunteer organization of the NRA Foundation. Proceeds from their banquet combine with other banquets throughout the western part of Texas to help fund Law Enforcement agencies, as well as local youth shooting programs such as 4-H, Boy Scouts, and FFA. In addition, funds are used to promote Hunter Education, National School Shield – a school safety program, educational, and historical programs throughout their territory. Heart of Texas Friends of NRA volunteers give of their time to support all of these programs as well as the 2nd Amendment.

Their 6th annual banquet will be held Friday, August 3rd beginning at 5:30pm at the Heart of Texas VFW Hall. For ticket information, contact Beth at 325-647-1318 or online at friendsofnra.org
