The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors and staff joined in celebrating 70 years of business for the Glamour Shop on October 12, 2021.
Glamour Shop: Downtown Brownwood received the Texas Treasure Business Award from the Texas Historical Commission This award recognizes the accomplishments of Texas businesses that have provided economic growth and prosperity for at least 50 years.
The Glamour Shop is family-owned and operated and has persevered in Downtown Brownwood as the downtown has evolved and changed over the years. This evolution is noted in some historical pictures displayed inside of Glamour Shop, including a picture of Bowie Theatre which closed in 1974.
