The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, August 10th for TOCK Analytics. This mathematical consulting and design company is headed by Michael Evans of Brownwood.
TOCK Analytics is a research and development project investigating the application of an area of mathematics known as category theory as it relates to education, business, and government solutions. Mr. Evans, having studied in this field for over a decade, feels that launching this enterprise can address some of the challenges that may be faced soon in the local communities and surrounding counties. “The application of category theory can build solutions that are open, robust, and nuanced.”
The Chamber was able to surprise Michael Evans with a Certificate of Commendation for the Tock Analytics Ribbon Cutting from the office of Senator Ted Cruz of the United States Senate. Mr. Evans said he is, “Thankful and honored to have been blessed by the support of the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Stephen Haynes, and the community of Brownwood in reaching this important milestone.”
