The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Urban Roots BTX on Tuesday, October 17th. Urban Roots BTX is located at 306 N. Broadway, Suite B in Downtown Brownwood.

This was “an idea I had driving down the road and it came to fruition in 6 months,” says owner Stephanie Young speaking to attendees. “And I always say that when the Lord has something He wants you to do, it just flows and there’s been a total peace about it.” There is peace when you walk into Suite B. From left to right, top to bottom, you will find succulents, snake plants, pothos, philodendrons and more, you can treat yourself or find something special for any occasion.

One of the most popular additions to Urban Roots BTX has been the Terrarium Bar. There is no appointment needed unless there are 4 or more in your party. This bar is stocked with everything you need to make your specialized Terrarium. Purchase gift cards, t-shirts, and many other items unique to Urban Roots that will create lasting memories. Stephanie mentioned, “I find so much peace for myself…and I get to breathe all this great air. I have been less sick in the last year than I ever have. Plants purify your air, bring you joy, and I’m just so thankful that I get to share this with everybody.” And so are we!

Urban Roots BTX celebrates their 1-Year Anniversary Saturday, October 21st with specials all day from 10am-4pm. Everything in the store is 20% off, there’s giveaways, and there will be some potting classes throughout the day. Be sure to follow Urban Roots BTX on Facebook and Instagram for updates and wish them Happy First Birthday!!
