The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is asking businesses to decorate the outside of their storefronts and offices for Western Week to be held June 9-14 to show support for this year’s Brown County Rodeo.
Western Week had been a community tradition years ago that slowly faded away until last year when it was revived. Last year’s winners included Brownwood City Hall, Brownwood VA Outpatient Clinic, and Hamilton’s.
First, second and third places will be awarded this year to the “best decorated” businesses who register to be judged. Winners will be given an award, media recognition, a spot in the rodeo parade, and will have their names announced during the rodeo. Judging will take place Tuesday morning, June 10th.
For more information about Western Week or to register your business for judging, contact the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce at 325-646-9535 or email Sunni at tourism@brownwoodchamber.org.
This year, the Brown County Rodeo will be held June 12-14 at the Earl Q. Wilson Rodeo Arena. The Brown County Rodeo Parade will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 10 AM in Downtown Brownwood.
