The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Brown County Museum of History on May 27, 2021.

The museum features exhibits from over 150 years of Brown County history – from the Native American band of Penatukah Comanche and earliest Texan settlers to the WWII-era Camp Bowie military collection. Kids from all over Central Texas and beyond love the Children’s Area and the miniature Birdsong Circus. Museum goers can also experience tours of the old jail.

The Brown County Museum of History is open Thursday & Friday, 10 AM – 2 PM and Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM. Visit them at 212 North Broadway Brownwood, TX. For more information, call (325) 641-1926.
