Chamber Committees
Ambassadors Club/Committee
The purpose of the Ambassadors program is to enhance the image and promote the interests of the chamber. The Ambassador will serve as the chamber’s public relations arm and promote unity through the community. The group is limited to 25 Chamber members in “good standing” and they must achieve a certain level of points per quarter to maintain their position.
Legislative Committee
This committee meets with community and regional leaders and elected officials to determine legislative needs. They develop an agenda to be presented to our elected officials that spell out general or specific community matters for legislative consideration. The committee coordinates the bi-annual Legislative Day in austin in February, including transportation, meals, legislative briefings and reception. The committee may recommend to the Brownwood Area Chamber Board of Directors any position they feel the Chamber should take on relevant issues.
Tourism Advisory Committee
The Tourism Advisory Committee is made up of local professionals with tourism and marketing experience. They serve as an advisory board to the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce staff for tourism development and marketing and review applications for Hotel Occupancy Tax funds.
Total Resource Campaign Advisory Committee
This committee oversees and implements the Chamber’s annual Total Resource Campaign. This campaign is a sponsorship drive held each year in February and March to offer sponsorships to the business community. The committee is made up of a chairperson and several volunteers. The committee meets monthly.
