Tickets are now available for the 2017 Corks and Caps event set for Saturday, October 7th from 6 PM – 11 PM in the Depot Plaza in Brownwood.
Corks and Caps will feature tastings of beer and wine from breweries and wineries from across the country. Several food trucks will also be featured at the event offering a variety of food and desserts. A cigar area will be a featured component during this event hosted by The Leaf from Abilene, and live music will be offered by the Matt Wilson Band from Austin.
The Matt Wilson Band, has a deep catalog of classic soul, R&B, rock n’ roll, blues, funk, and gospel it performs with warmth, wit, and white-gloved showmanship. Wilson believes there is an art to presenting these treasured tunes in a way that’s reverent but relevant. Wilsons’ band’s soul-revue personality imbues its interpretations of standards by Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers with spirited sincerity. Matt Wilson Band also has a distinguished well of original material that’s ten years and four albums deep.
Advanced tickets for the event cost $25 each which will include 10 samples of the beer and wine. Non-sample tickets for the concert only will be $10 each. Attendees must be 21 or older to purchase tasting tickets. The first 600 tasters will get their choice of a Corks and Caps commemorativeglass.

This event is provided by the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are exempt from Texas sales and use tax. No refunds because of weather.
