The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for CASA in the Heart of Texas on Wednesday, November 1st. CASA’s new location is 1305 Early Blvd, Suite B, Early, TX and their mailing address remains PO Box 2326 Brownwood, TX 76804.
CASA in the Heart of Texas trains community volunteers to advocate for children in foster care from Brown, Comanche, and Mills counties. CASA volunteers advocate for the best interest of a child and make informed recommendations for the child’s physical and emotional well-being to the judge. CASA volunteers get to know the child, the parents, and their family and serve as a consistent presence in the child’s life while working collaboratively with others involved in the case.
